How do I measure my bed frame correctly?
First, measure the "tight" width and length of the inside of the bed frame. This will be the open space where the rectangular box will fit. Keep in mind that if there are any obstructions pointing out into the open space, like a wood block or post, you have to measure from that point. We want to have a perfectly clear area for a rectangle to fit inside the frame. Once you have your tight measurements, a general rule of thumb is to order the foundation one inch (1") less. This ensures that it will fit comfortably in between the side rails and will not be too tight. For example, if your tight frame measurement is 47" wide and 73" long, order the foundation 46" x 72".
However, this may not be the ideal approach for every single bed frame. If you believe that a 1/2" width or legnth increment would be ideal, we do have the ability to do that. Please feel free to Contact Us and we'd be happy to assist.
What is the return/refund policy?
As this is a custom made wood product, it is not available for a return or refund.
I have a large size mattress and need a foundation for that. Is it two pieces, or just one?
• All foundations ordered 60" wide or less will come in one piece.
•All foundations ordered larger than 60" wide will come in two pieces (split).
In other words, 60" is the maximum width that a foundation will come in one piece. Anything ordered over 60" wide will come as two foundations, which will sit next to each other on the frame (similar to king boxsprings). If you have a bed frame smaller than 60" and would prefer to have two foundations instead of one, please Contact Us and we will assist in getting those ordered correctly.
How do I set it up?
Setup is easy and should take no longer than 20 minutes. No tools are required. Instructions will be provided in the box. You can also find links to them just above this section.
How is it delivered and how long does it take?
All foundations ship in a single box via UPS and can be expected approximately 2-3 weeks after order date.
Where is it made?
All foundations are built by a wood craftsman in Ohio, USA.
Can I get a foundation with special cuts in it?
At this time we only offer rectangle shaped foundations. They cannot be made with corner cuts like angles, notches, or radiuses. *If you have notches or curves in a bed that protrude out into the sleeping space, the box/foundation can only fit up to these obstructions. The rectangular foundation will sit inside any areas that protrude and the mattress can be cut to fit around them.

Returns/Warranty
Due to the custom nature of these foundations, they cannot be returned for a refund. All foundations are warrantied for 1 year, which covers manufacturing defects. For more information regarding the warranty, please visit our Product Warranty page.
Need to make a change to the foundation size?
Custom Mattress Makers allows for size changes up to 24 hours after the order is placed. In an effort to keep lead-times as short as possible, we like to place orders shortly after they're placed. If it is within 24 hours of the order being placed and you need to make a change, please reply to the order confirmation email or email us via the CONTACT US page.
After 24 hours have passed, changes cannot be made to the order.
Cancellations
Similar to the above policy, orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of the order being placed. Within this time period, the order can be cancelled and full purchase amount will be refunded. If you're interested in cancelling an order and it is within 24 hours of the order being placed, please reply to the order confirmation email or email us via the CONTACT US page.
Due to the custom nature of these products, we cannot cancel an order after 24 hours have passed.
Shipping Information
All foundations are built and shipped in Ohio. Once the products ship, a confirmation email/text will be sent to the email/phone number on file. This will include UPS tracking information.
*This foundation ships unassembled in a single box. Setup is very simple and should take no longer than 20 minutes. Assembly instructions are included inside the box, which you can also find in the Frequently Asked Questions section on this page.

It was easy to put together, though (you heard it before, I'm sure), working with Velco and the short stem staples was tricky. Some of the staples would come unattached. Used a small rubber mallet to hammer back into place.
