Due to coil barrel diameters and other elements outside of our control, all mattresses are subject toĀ up to aĀ 1" variance in each direction.
As skilled as ourĀ craftsmen are, it is impossible to construct a spring mattress to the exact dimensions of all size combinations.Ā Each coil spring has a predetermined diameter, therefore we are somewhat limited when it comes to the width and length of the mattress.Ā Ā Since we cannot split a coil in half or thirds, we build the mattress to within a 1" variance ofĀ requested dimensions.
In most cases our mattresses are very close to perfect. However, these restrictions do exist and it is completely normal to see your mattressĀ slightly smaller or larger than ordered.
*On the Cart page, there is a box where you can request the mattress to be made "slightly undersize" or "slightly oversize".Ā

Mattresses must be unpacked and removed from their plastic withinĀ 2 weeks of delivery. Longer than that could damage internal components, alter sizing, and will void any product warranty.
All mattresses from Custom Mattress Makers are packaged via the "roll-packing" process. This process compresses and rolls the mattress into a carton that allows it to be shipped any physical street address in the continental USA. Feel free to read more about that process on our Shipping pageĀ HERE.
Custom Mattress Makers pays a one time delivery cost for UPS Ground shipping to the address marked "shipping address" on the original order. There is no additional charge to the customer for this initial shipment.
It isĀ veryĀ important to monitor the tracking page provided in the shipping confirmation email.Ā *In the event the package is not deliverable or is refused, a second delivery charge will apply and must be paid by the customer.
If the original shipment is changed or altered by the customer, whether it's rerouted to a different address or a pick up is requested at a UPS facility, that is done at the customer'sĀ own risk.Ā We highly recommend contacting CMM before altering any delivery addresses or dates.Ā Ā If a change or alteration is made by the customer and a redelivery of the mattress is required,Ā thatĀ must be paid by the customerĀ and not Custom Mattress Makers.
Lost, stolen, or damaged packages: Custom Mattress Makers, to the best of their ability, will work in conjunction with UPS to resolve any issues. In the event the package is stolen, it is the responsibility of the customer toĀ provideĀ video and/or photo evidence of the package being stolen, as well asĀ a copy of a police report filing with local authorities.

Well, I was looking at custom matresses but not serious,.... got a antique corbille bed that needed one...went throu a few websites and not much in the way of quality custom matresses' looked very promising. After pingponging e-mailes back and forth as to the specifics i undesrood these guy's actually cared about quality just by the responces i received.....i talked to a real person that really cared and was apparently acustomed to the real world and took care of me on every point of question i had. So i was mostly sold on the customer service and i was pretty suprised when the matress actullay fit perfectly when it got here. So I highley recommend them and will buy more from them in future because they do great work and care about the customers.....really simple actually.

I reached out to CMM in search of a firm innerspring mattress for my 94YO father who has just recently decided to start sleeping on an antique 3/4 bed that was built by his grandfather. The mattress I initially purchased for him was 48x75 and ended up being way too soft. I wanted to get him one that better fit the dimensions of the bed so I sent dimensions and picture with my request for help. I very quickly received a reply from Jake at CMM. My new foundation and mattress are so comfortable and I'm very pleased with the quality! I followed the excellent instructions on the website for every step of the process and the custom fit is perfect for my grandmother's antique bed. Measuring, adding center supports, unpacking, putting the foundation together, unfurling the mattress, etc.--- all were accomplished by myself with the help of a hand truck. The only time I required assistance was hauling the old bed away since I don't have a pickup. Everything went together as planned and the results were better than I hoped for. P.S. -- I'll turn 70 in a few months.

We ordered the Cocoa firm and it is great. Love the mix of coils and foam. We were originally worried about the folded mattress for shipping but it regained its form perfectly. A good solid, firm mattress. No reservations.

I'm pleased to have a 33"x78" custom sized hybrid mattress (Cocoa Luxury Firm) in my motorhome to replace the awful, hot, slow-quicksand-like memory foam one. I haven't had the opportunity to actually spend a night on it yet, but I took a "test nap", and I am happy with the comfort level so far. I do wish that there was a firmer option (maybe a dunlop latex layer option instead of the talalay latex). I had a couple of questions before I made my purchase, and was surprised to have my phone call answered by a human (Jake), who was also able to answer my questions! My husband may decide to upgrade his mattress now that he sees the quality of my mattress, so we will probably be back for another one soon! Thank you!
I had my doubts about a mattress that would be shipped in a box rolled up like a foam mattress, but I was definitely surprised. Once I opened it up and it started to expand. I realized this was what I was looking for. It was firm like advertised. I would love to see the machine that rolls these up for shipment. I just wish these size mattresses were not considered custom by the industry. Most people donāt have room for a split king or a king size bed. Almost everyone has room for a queen size bed and having one that is split I would think would be the norm. I was a home inspector and I have been in thousands of other peoples homes and if you do not have a huge home you have a queen size bed. Being able to raise one side and not the other seems to me would be very important to the industry because it is hard to find two people who want the bed raised at the same height or raised at all. I had to shop around to find this company and I chose them over the other ones I found and I am glad I did. Their shipping was fast and customer service helped whenever I had a question. I would buy again.
