Due to coil barrel diameters and other elements outside of our control, all mattresses are subject toĀ up to aĀ 1" variance in each direction.
As skilled as ourĀ craftsmen are, it is impossible to construct a spring mattress to the exact dimensions of all size combinations.Ā Each coil spring has a predetermined diameter, therefore we are somewhat limited when it comes to the width and length of the mattress.Ā Ā Since we cannot split a coil in half or thirds, we build the mattress to within a 1" variance ofĀ requested dimensions.
In most cases our mattresses are very close to perfect. However, these restrictions do exist and it is completely normal to see your mattressĀ slightly smaller or larger than ordered.
*On the Cart page, there is a box where you can request the mattress to be made "slightly undersize" or "slightly oversize".Ā

Mattresses must be unpacked and removed from their plastic withinĀ 2 weeks of delivery. Longer than that could damage internal components, alter sizing, and will void any product warranty.
All mattresses from Custom Mattress Makers are packaged via the "roll-packing" process. This process compresses and rolls the mattress into a carton that allows it to be shipped any physical street address in the continental USA. Feel free to read more about that process on our Shipping pageĀ HERE.
Custom Mattress Makers pays a one time delivery cost for UPS Ground shipping to the address marked "shipping address" on the original order. There is no additional charge to the customer for this initial shipment.
It isĀ veryĀ important to monitor the tracking page provided in the shipping confirmation email.Ā *In the event the package is not deliverable or is refused, a second delivery charge will apply and must be paid by the customer.
If the original shipment is changed or altered by the customer, whether it's rerouted to a different address or a pick up is requested at a UPS facility, that is done at the customer'sĀ own risk.Ā We highly recommend contacting CMM before altering any delivery addresses or dates.Ā Ā If a change or alteration is made by the customer and a redelivery of the mattress is required,Ā thatĀ must be paid by the customerĀ and not Custom Mattress Makers.
Lost, stolen, or damaged packages: Custom Mattress Makers, to the best of their ability, will work in conjunction with UPS to resolve any issues. In the event the package is stolen, it is the responsibility of the customer toĀ provideĀ video and/or photo evidence of the package being stolen, as well asĀ a copy of a police report filing with local authorities.

The most difficult part was finding the mattress company. Frankly, I am surprised that Custom Mattress Makers does not have a far larger number of reviewers on the common review sites. I generally prefer to choose things online without calling in, but Iām very glad I called and spoke to Nick. He was knowledgeable and he anticipated our concerns while never trying to upsell us. In fact, I feel confident he really wanted us to get the best results possible for us rather than for his company. Nick understood how to adapt for the quirks of our bed.
The delivery was exactly on schedule and was a bit of a surprise. The coil spring mattress is packaged in a clever and efficient way.

If you are aware of NASCAR racing you know the Daytona 500 is considered the granddaddy of them all, the greatest of the NASCAR races. The custom Daytona mattress manufactured for our RV by Custom Mattress Makers is simply the best mattress we've ever purchased, and we've been married 35 years! The custom dimensions were 100% accurate per my specifications but the real story is the comfort of the mattress. It is so comfortable we 'camped' in the driveway just to enjoy its comfort... Our application is in a Sprinter Van conversion. The mattress sits on a raised platform. It was manufactured with corner cuts to facilitate a better fit in the rear door area. The quality of manufacturing looks outstanding. The mattress arrived in a compressed roll and unboxed/unrolled without any issues. Watch the videos and follow the directions and you'll have a GREAT mattress 2-3 hours after unboxing. Customer service was also five stars!
After 4 āstandardā king size mattresses that ran short from other companies, Custom Mattress Makers was able to make the perfect 76ā x 80ā mattress for our custom bed. Nick was very helpful and patient, and his team was able to make the size as specified. We were a bit worried about the firmness since we couldnāt test it out in person before purchasing, but the Daytona Firm Custom mattress is perfect. The price was also reasonable. We are very happy with our purchase. It is beautiful in our new home.

I ordered an odd sized mattress for an antique frame. Placed the order and then thought, ā Iāll take a chance and send an email that I need it rushed because of a family member Iāll was.ā Never expected a response. Got one the very next day which told me not to worry, considering my circumstances, they would rush my order!! I was shocked. We are thrilled with the quality of our Customer Mattress Makersā. We sleep in a European size bed so finding a quality mattress can be challenging. The high end Italian brands that sell mattress are crazy expensive and delivery can be long and also expensive since that must ship to a brand store. With custom mattress maker we ordered the size we needed and got a very comfortable mattress at a very reasonable price. I wish however we could have ordered the same double layer spring mattress in a smaller depth because our bed is very sleek and needs a low profile mattress. Otherwise we are very happy with our purchase.
