Camp mattress sizes can vary depending on the application, but typically they are smaller than a twin size. 30” x 74”, 36” x 74” and 38” x 74” are some of the more common sizes that are designed for camps.

A great choice for camp mattresses are the Cape Hybrid mattresses by Custom Mattress Makers.  Around 6” thick, these are versatile and can be used in a variety of different applications, especially where thicker mattresses won’t work. The best part about the Cape mattress is it’s pocketed-coil system. Most camp mattresses offered online, or in-stores, are exclusively made with polyurethane foam. It is a known fact that poly-foam will start to break down before steel springs do. Therefore, an all foam mattress will yield less support over the years than a pocketed-coil innerspring will.  Although the mattress may feel nice at first, its life expectancy is far less than that of an innerspring mattress. With the Cape Hybrid mattresses, you receive more comfort and a longer life span than any other mattress design on the market.

You have your choice of 3 different Cape models:

• Cape Hybrid (6" medium):  Standard version features pocketed coils, 3/4" of medium-firm high-density upholstery padding, and a 3/4" medium quilted top fabric.
• Cape Gel Hybrid (6.25" medium-soft):  An upgrade from the standard Cape version, featuring a layer of gel-cooling memory foam in the comfort layer. The same coil system and top fabric are used. Slightly softer feel than the standard version.
• Cape Latex Hybrid (6.25" medium-firm):  The "top of the line" Cape model which includes a layer of natural, Talalay latex in the comfort layer. This yields a stronger, more breathable upholstery layer than the previous two. Truly a unique design at this thickness.
